Biodiversity and conservation status of two offshore coral reefs in the South Caribbean of Colombia 2024-2025
The South Caribbean of Colombia has unknown and poorly assessed coral reef ecosystems, particularly in the departments of Sucre and Córdoba, which are exposed to the growing impact of coastal activities. This represents an opportunity to investigate the biodiversity and environmental condition of two offshore reef formations (Bushnell Shoal and the Roca of Morrosquillo). In these respects, the Foundation for the Promotion of Research and Technology and MoAm signed an agreement to develop this initiative.
