Starting 2014 with the artificial reef number 52 in the Gulf of Morrosquillo

In February 28th of 2014, it was deployed the structure, designed as artificial reef, in the concession area for this purpose in San Antero, province of Córdoba, Gulf of Morrosquillo. With the reef number 52 the Program Diáspora closes an stage, which results has been positive for the environmental and social welfare in this part of the Colombian Caribbean.

The installation was made through a deployment maneuver, which started three in the afternoon, on board of the Serviport II, tugboat used since 2000 to support this activity with their crew and industrial diving team.

In the event, it was present Ecopetrol S.A. employees, leading company of the artificial reef Program, together with the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Sucre (CARSUCRE), the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Sinu and San Jorge Valleys (CVS), COMPAS, representatives of the artisanal fishery associations in the Gulf (Santiago de Tolú, Coveñas and San Antero) and MoAm company. All together have participated actively in each of the stages and are in charge of their sustainability.
